Customer Testimonials
Excellent place, always very helpful, very reasonable prices I’ve been caught out a few times late on an evening thinking I’d be stuck till the morning, but every time I’ve found them still there working and they’ve dropped everything to help get me back on the road, would recommend to everyone, thanks for everything Ali see you next time.

MOT Testing FAQ’s
What is an MOT Test?
In the UK it is a legal requirement for vehicles to have an annual MOT test. This is a check of vehicle safety, roadworthiness and exhaust emissions.
When is the MOT Test due?
For newer vehicles you must ensure that the first MOT is in place by the third anniversary of the vehicle registration (i.e. a car registered on 01 March 2017 will need to have its first MOT in place by 01 March 2020). For any vehicles which are more than three years old, you must have a valid MOT in place by the anniversary date of the last MOT (i.e. if your vehicle had its last MOT on 01 March 2019, then it will be due again by 01 March 2020).
There are exceptions for vehicles such as imported vehicles, ambulances, taxis and private passenger vehicles (9 seats or more).
How early can I book my MOT?
An MOT test can be taken up to 1 month before the existing MOT certificate expires. If your MOT test is carried out 1 month before the due date, your MOT is effectively valid for 13 months.
Can I still drive my car if there is not a valid MOT in place?
It is against the law to drive or park your vehicle on the road if the MOT has run out. The exception to this rule is; if you are driving to a pre booked MOT test or driving to or from a garage to have the vehicle repaired.
Additionally, you may be putting you and your passengers at risk by driving a vehicle which is potentially unsafe/not road worthy.
What is checked as part of the MOT test?
The MOT test includes checks of the following key components of the vehicle:
Lighting and signalling equipment
Steering and suspension
Brakes
Tyres and wheels
Seat belts
Body structure
Exhaust, fuel and emissions
Driver’s view of the road
